Per DefiLlama data, XRP trades near $1.40 with a market cap of $88.45 billion and a fully diluted valuation of $140.17 billion. 
Circulating supply is 63.09 billion XRP against a max supply of 100 billion, and 24-hour volume is $4.97 billion.
In the one-year view, the price sat close to $1 through mid-August, then jumped past $1.40 within days and peaked near $1.57 in late September. 
Coinglass shows XRP at $1.41, down 4.04% on the day, with futures volume of $3.90 billion against spot volume of $767.50 million.
XRP Open Interest: Leverage Is Back
According to Coinglass, XRP open interest is near $3.28 billion, and the 8 October reading was $3.38 billion with a price of $1.42. 
That is a big recovery from the roughly $2 billion to $2.5 billion range seen through the summer, and it jumped alongside the August breakout. Traders came back with size.
A 4% daily dip with open interest holding this high means positioning is still crowded, which can fuel a sharp move in either direction.
Paxos Adds XRP to Institutional Brokerage
Per an X post by BSCN, Paxos has added XRP support to its institutional crypto brokerage and custody services. 
Banking partners, international fintechs, and commercial brokerages can now trade and settle the asset.
It gives XRP a fresh route for institutional access, and the post notes more than 8.1 million on-chain addresses hold it.
XRP and HYPE Lead Spot ETF Inflows This Week
BSCN also reports that XRP and Hyperliquid were the only spot altcoin ETFs with positive inflows this week. 
XRP funds added $3.14 million, while HYPE funds added $277K.
The amounts are small, but steady ETF inflows during a weak week for the broader market show demand is holding up.
Firelight Launches DeFi Insurance on Staked XRP
Per another BSCN post, Firelight has launched DeFi insurance coverage backed by 50.2 million staked XRP on Flare. 
It targets risks like smart contract exploits and oracle failures, with an aggregate cap of $115 million on staked positions.
It is a new utility angle for XRP beyond payments.
XRP Weekly Chart Analysis: Falling Wedge Breakout Near Resistance
On the weekly chart from TradingView, XRP spent most of 2026 squeezing lower inside a falling wedge after being rejected near 3.64041 in mid-2025.
The August breakout came with a large green candle from the 0.99173 area, and the price has since held above the wedge, which is what a sustained breakout looks like. 
Right now XRP sits just under 1.45267, the first key resistance, after a weekly pullback of nearly 8%.
A weekly close above 1.45267 would open the path toward 1.91005, then 2.43065 and 3.07139.
A retest of the broken wedge line is also normal behavior, and a drop toward the 1.00 zone would only be a concern if it closes below 0.99173, which would put the breakout in doubt and expose 0.38675.
RSI is at 51.05, so momentum is neutral with room to build.
XRP Price Prediction 2030: Can XRP Reach $25?
Reaching $25 is a very ambitious long-range case. From $1.40, it means about 17.9x, which implies a market cap near $1.58 trillion on today's circulating supply and around $2.5 trillion on the full 100 billion.
The path depends on holding the wedge breakout, clearing 1.45267 and 1.91005, and then building on institutional interest through products like Paxos and spot ETFs.
Key Risks for XRP Holders
A weekly close back under 0.99173 would invalidate the breakout. The ETF inflows are small, so demand is not yet strong.
Open interest near $3.3 billion means leveraged positions can unwind fast, and the 4% daily drop shows sellers are still active.
